TGauge.com Newsletter

Hiya T-Gaugers,

It's been a while hasn't it? Hope you're all well and enjoying your tiny worlds.

Needless to say we've been busy since our last newsletter, trying to grow the range of rolling stock and accessories available for TGauge layouts, large and small alongside continuing the painstaking hand-build of the Class 08.

Read on for more news and an all important Class 08 update...

old Mine Kit - Do you have hidden treasure in your baseboard? You may have seen this Coal Mine, Ore Mine, Old Mine on one of our YouTube Lockdown layout videos. Well, it proved so popular we decided to make it up as a laser-cut acrylic and etched brass kit so now you too can excavate your layout safely.
Wind Turbine Kit - Very rarely do we see a landscape these days that doesn't have a wind farm full of immense turbines harnessing the kinetic energy of a windy day so we've got another easy to assemble etched brass kit of two turbines per pack.
Telegraph Poles - Talk to Me...Get the comms on your layout sorted with this 10 pack of Telegraph Poles. Go for expert level detail and use with our stretchy catenary wire for the ultimate communication network.
LNER Train Set - Our Latest New Exciting Railway is now available as a Train Set with either 120mm radius or 132.5mm radius loop of fixed bed track, controller, power cable, a couple of switchback sensors/shuttles and more. The ideal perfect gift for (dare we say it) - the person in your life who's been wanting one for ages, or just a treat for yourself!

All Important Class 08 Update
And offer for the kitbashers

It's been a fair bit of time since our last update and the emails are coming in thick and faster than we're able to respond so we think it's time for another update with where we are now....

We're still building them, hand building them, one by one...and whilst it's not the way we planned on releasing the World's smallest commercially available locomotive it's the hand we've unfortunately been dealt due to all that's happened the past few years, covid, price increases and brexit to name but a few.

We'll be honest we did consider refunding everyone and starting again, this time without the stress of a Preorder status but we're committed to the task and are working our way through them. It is a slow process, a lot slower than we envisaged, for which we continue to ask for patience.

So, we haven't abandoned the project, we haven't forgotten anyone, and they are slowly making their way into the World as you can probably see from the few that have made their way into the hands of collectors eager to share their excitement.

Can't say we're not disappointed that some people only want to discard the hand-painted and finely detailed body which takes hours to put together, only to make their own loco using just the tiny (also hand-built) chassis.

Given this information we're really quite reluctant to be putting in all the extra work to make the bodies perfect for them to be treated as expendable.

So in this respect we'd like to offer those that admit they'll be removing the body the chance to get their loco sooner by opting to receive an unpainted, standard 3d printed body shell which will help us to make our way through the list quicker and be able to get the beautifully finished little locos out to the patient collectors.

If you're interested in this option send an email to lorraine@PROTECTED with the subject line Class 08 Plain Body.

The same process still applies to everyone who's preordered... you will receive an email on the Friday before your Class 08 is ready to be shipped, once you confirm your address, we will ship your loco.

If you no longer wish to wait we are happy to provide a full refund.

For those who missed the first issue of the Class 08, it will be next year before they will be available again.

Tiny Tool Shed - We've now got replacement No. 11 blades for the nifty little craft knife and blade set in our tools shed. And at only £1.50 for 5 we think you'll agree, that's quite a sharp deal.

Well, hopefully that's brought you up to date with some new developments and what's been happening in the World of T. Happy to say that our being quiet this summer has resulted in a few new products from both us and the OEM so we'll have another newsletter out soon with more new products and hopefully information on re-stocked products.

As always, please continue to stay safe and positive, and we'd like to thank you all for your continued support & friendship.

Alan and Lorraine
