Fantastic!
This is a fantastic train set. Despite the minute size, the loco is impressively detailed and runs exceptionally. It still astounds me how they were able to fit lights in this model! The kit comes with more than you need to get started in T gauge, and due to the addition of the switchback system, it allows you to open up the layout into a snake of track that the loco can run back and forth along. The instructions are decent and explain everything clearly. Coming from 00 gauge, I was expecting this train set to be farcicle to set up, but it's surprisingly simple and reminds me of Hornby's old Battlezone set - the track snaps together very easily. The trains and track feel incredibly sturdy. While I am sure they are very fragile, they feel robust in the hand. It's a wonderful little (emphasis on the little) starter set that includes everything you would need to get up and running with this peculiar gauge. I would recommend it for anyone remotely curious at giving this gauge a try. |
